Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of similar name, Erica Paget in Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. She was born in California and discovered her love for acting when a young child. She began her career in the field of advertising, where she appeared in a variety of commercials. She debuted on television in the NBCs It's Your Move sitcom show that aired in 1984. In the love story Pretty in Pink, Swan made her debut on the big screen. Swan, who is renowned for her breathless voice and blonde hair, has appeared in various roles on the side in the past few years. She won the Young Artist Award in 1989 for the Best Young Actress in Horror or Films with a Mystery in the film Flowers in the Attic.
