Laura Linney has been hailed as one of the most well-known actors. She is known as a strong actress that are equally at risk. Born to a renowned playwright's father but raised by a single mother, who earned her living by working as a nurse. She was drawn to theatre when working with her father during the summer, eventually studying acting, initially as a student at Brown University and then at Juilliard School. Beginning her career at the Broadway following her graduation, she made her debut on film in just two years and on television within a year. Her appearances have been in a variety of film, TV and stage productions since then. There were many awards she received during her professional career, including several Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Her nominations include five Tony Awards, and three Oscar Award nominations. However, despite her distinctions and awards, theater is her main interest and she is determined to play on the stage and on screen.
